Breast Cancer

Mastectomy, reconstruction, and radiation impact not only the soft and connective tissues of the chest but also extend their effects to the shoulder, neck, back, trunk, abdomen, and even the pelvis. After lymph node removal, Axillary Webbing Syndrome or "cording" can occur. Women undergoing breast cancer surgery and treatments often face challenges such as pain and restricted shoulder function, conditions that can be effectively addressed through Physical Therapy.
