What Does The Treatment Consist Of?
Treatment commences with a comprehensive history-taking, followed by a thorough evaluation of the pelvic floor and its surrounding areas, including the low back, abdomen, and hips if necessary. Assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor involve internal palpation through either the vagina or rectum, providing direct access to the muscles for effective evaluation and treatment. We acknowledge the personal nature of this procedure and prioritize clear explanations and ongoing consent throughout. At our facility, trauma-informed care is obligatory, and we deeply respect each patient’s unique needs and evolving boundaries.
